Course Information
There are three Foundation Studies programs: Commerce and Business Administration, Mass Communications and Information Technology.

Macquarie University Foundation Studies prepare students for entry into the first year of a bachelor degree at Macquarie City Campus. The program is suitable for students who have not completed the equivalent of Australian Year 12. Students study preparatory subjects in a small, supportive environment and have access to some of Macquarie City’s best academic staff. Once qualified, students articulate into a Bachelor degree at Macquarie City Campus.
Macquarie City Campus offers a 36 week or 52 week Macquarie University Foundation Studies course depending on a student high school results. This qualification is made up of a number of core units and a select range of elective units.

Entry into Bachelor degree
On successful completion of Macquarie University Foundation Studies, students can articulate into a bachelor degree at Macquarie City Campus. Students who pass foundation studies, but do not gain admission into a bachelor degree can apply to study an SIBT diploma either at the North Ryde or Wynyard Green Campus.
Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements: Students are required to successfully complete Year 11, or its equivalent, for entry into Macquarie University Foundation Studies. The following is a guide to the minimum entry requirements for different countries. Click here

Entry into a Bachelor degree
Upon successful completion of Macquarie University Foundation Studies, students can articulate into a
Bachelor degree at Macquarie City Campus. Students
who pass Macquarie University Foundation Studies,
but do not gain admission into an undergraduate
degree can apply to study a SIBT Diploma either at the Macquarie City Campus or North Ryde.
Students must successfully complete all subjects and gain atleast an average of 75% for entrance into Commerce, Accounting, Marketing and Business Administration degrees.
