Internships
Macquarie City Campus is offering temporary internships for students wishing to gain workplace experience within a business environment. Internships provide on-the-job training, practical work experience and increase your potential to obtain future work in your field of study. Internships are 20 hours per week for 12 – 16 weeks however, in some instances duration and hours can be negotiated with the host company.
Internships enable you to:
- experience Australian workplace culture
- transfer your knowledge from the classroom to the workplace
- develop your technical skills
- improve your English language and workplace communication skills
- increase your potential to obtain future work through your
established business contacts
How to Apply
To apply, please collect and submit an application from Macquarie City Campus reception. With your signed and completed application form, include:- Copies of certified academic results including modules completed
- Evidence of your English language proficiency e.g.
IELTS or Academic English program results - Your passport with your student visa status
- Passport sized photo
- Letter outlining why you would like to undertake an internship and what you hope to achieve by participating in the program
- Completed questionnaire which can be collected
This is an excellent opportunity to gain work
experience and relate much of the theory learnt in the classroom to a practical workplace environment. For more
